UltraMgo Wall Board 

Achieve an FRL of 60/60/60 with standard pine timber wall construction.

 

UltraMgO Wall Board is our 12mm MgO Wall substrate suitable to use for exterior and smooth enough to use instead of plasterboard for interior wall applications.

 

UltraMgO is fireproof and meets Australian Standards 1530.4 and is Chloride and Asbestos free.

 

Our Magnesium Oxide range is approved for use in all Class 1 and Class 10 buildings (heights up to 9 metres).

It has been tested in Australia by Exova-Warrington and achieved a FRL (Fire Resistance Level) of 60/60/60

and meets BAL-FZ.

 

Higher R values than plasterboard and it's less expensive so it eliminates multi layers Plaster Board for high FRL

 

The fastest, lowest cost way to achieve a 60/60/60 wall in Australia on a standard Pine Timber Frame

 

Simply fit FCF HeatCheck90 Mineral Wool batts to the frame cavity, staple FCF Flamewrap to the frame, and screw on FCF UltraMgO 12mm thick sheets – done! 

 

The best part is that you can use standard 10mm plasterboard on the inside. There’s no need to line the inside of the wall with another MgO sheet like many of our competitors require.

 

 

External Walls and Eaves

• External walls should extend to the underside of the eave and preferably to the outside by more than 900mm
• Eaves should have a non-combustible eave lining
• Where the external wall does not extend to the underside of the roof, mineral fibre should be included
